HTC has finally launched HTC One back in March, but it said that it would launch the product in early April, but that was never to happen.The phone is finally available in India from online retailer Saholic.
HTC One comes with a 4.7 inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display, powered by a 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) with the new HTC Sense UI and HTC BlinkFeed.
HTC has innovated a lot with the camera on the One and it has a 4-megapixel UltraPixel camera which also feature optical image stabilization like the Nokia Lumia 920. The UltraPixel technology is a marketing term for larger pixels that allow more light to pass through enabling better images in low-light situations.
There is also a beautiful 4.7-inch Full HD 1080p screen that offers class leading 468 pixels per inch (PPI). Compare that to 326 and 441 PPI in the iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S4 respectively. There is also a 2,300 mAh battery.
HTC has also revamped its Sense user interface that runs on top of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. This new UI is simpler to use and has a flatter aesthetic. HTC has introduced new software features like HTC Zoe and Blinkfeed.
The connectivity features include, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/ac/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX codec, DNLA, MHL, GPS with GLONASS, NFC. It packs a 2300 mAh battery.
The HTC One is priced at Rs 42,900 (MOP) and also comes from Saholic. It is expected to ship in 8 business days. As HTC announced at the launch, it would comes with 1GB of free 3G data for 3 months for Reliance GSM customers along with free WhatsApp and Facebook for 3 months. It should go on sale from retail stores soon.
